Here’s the thing about people with good hearts. They give you
excuses when you don’t explain yourself. They accept apologies
you don’t give. They see the best in you when you don’t need
them to. At your worst, they lift you up, even if it means
putting their priorities aside. The word “busy” does not exist in
their dictionary. They make time, even when you don’t. And
you wonder why they’re the most sensitive people. You wonder
why they’re the most caring people. You wonder why they are
willing to give so much of themselves with no expectation in
return. You wonder why their existence is not so essential to
your well-being. It’s because they don’t make you work hard
for the attention they give you. They accept the love they think
they’ve earned, and you accept the love you think you’re
entitled to. Let me tell you something. Fear the day when a
good heart gives up on you. Our skies don’t become gray out of
nowhere. Our sunshine does not allow the darkness to take
over for no reason. A heart does not turn cold unless it’s been
treated with coldness for a while.

I think the weirdest thing about chronic illness is hoping to get diagnosed with other illnesses, because maybe that will explain symptoms that your already-diagnosed illnesses don’t quite explain, and maybe a new illness would have more treatment options that could possibly help you feel maybe a little bit or even a decent amount better.

Yes!
Sometimes it is only natural to *want* to be diagnosed with another illness!

kiwisoap:

come all you good workers, good news to you I’ll tell

Yall ever heard that song? “Which side are you on?” It goes like this:

Don’t scab for the bosses

Don’t listen to their lies

Us poor folks haven’t got a chance

Unless we organize

Which side are you on?

Which side are you on?

And then the variant by Blue Highway which goes

Which side are you on boys,

which side are you on?

You’re either for the rich man

or the Union standing strong

And like, listen. Sometimes I hear people talking about labor unions, not particularly negatively or positively just like in general, and about the current state of America’s workforce today, and there are some very important things they tend to leave out when they mention 1900s-1950s America and the fight to unionize. Which is: It was a fucking fight dude. People died.

Like, not “some people died” im talking people were dragged from their homes and shot, people were murdered in broad daylight on the steps of the courthouse, unionizers were literally bombed from private company planes with the explicit message of “We will not allow this union to form”. Anti-unioners and their thugs got robbed, beaten, shot in greneral stores and parking lots. Trains got hijacked, houses got burned down, the mother fucking US Army had to be called in. Over 100 miners were gunned down by anti-unioners in a single fight. Workers saw what they were up against and, knowing full well that they or their family could be murdered or starve to death, and still supported the union and fought, PHYSICALLY FOUGHT, like with ACTUAL WEAPONS AND RESULTING IN ACTUAL DEATH AND MURDER, for the right to unionize.

Anyway just some food for thought. Just a little reminder.

oh man, i also have a dell and have had similar problems. have you tried updating the video card drivers/uninstalling and reinstalling the video card/doing a system update? because one of those things seems to have (mostly) resolved it for me. i hope you’re able to get things fixed!

Ooh no I haven’t tried anything really except unplugging things and restarting. My technical skills are not strong. 🙂 I will try stuff like that.

My laptop is stressing me out. It puts itself to sleep, then later when I attempt to wake it the video has gone all funny. How do I fix it question mark I have to unplug everything then turn off then plug everything in again then turn on. And then sometimes it still doesn’t work. Is it time for a new computer? Doesn’t matter because I can’t afford one.

Eris and I have discovered a lot of mykis while packing. Took them to train station to check balances. 3 expired, 1 child myki with zero balance, 2 full fare with small negative balances, 5 full fare with positive balances. I guess we had better use up those positive balances.
